Florida families participating in eligible Step Up For Students scholarship programs may be able to use their scholarship funds toward eligible Scanmarker products.
Families do not necessarily need to wait for Scanmarker products to become available through MyScholarShop. According to guidance provided by Step Up For Students, families may purchase eligible products directly from Scanmarker and then submit the purchase for reimbursement, subject to the requirements of their specific scholarship program.
How it works
Families can purchase a Scanmarker product directly from Scanmarker and retain their order confirmation, receipt, and other supporting documentation. They can then submit the expense through their Step Up For Students account for reimbursement.
Eligibility depends on the student’s scholarship program and the applicable purchasing guidelines. Step Up For Students makes the final determination regarding whether an expense is eligible for reimbursement.
Scanmarker products are designed to help students access printed educational materials more independently. Depending on the model, features can include scanning printed text, text-to-speech, dictionary support, translation, and other reading and language-learning tools.
