Do I need to download an app on my computer?
No — with our latest upgrade you can start scanning with the Reader, Air, and USB models through our software by signing up and logging in at app.scanmarker.com in a Chrome or Edge browser.
I want to scan with my Air/Reader/USB model on my desktop to a Word document.
Scanmarker Air, Reader, and USB users access the software via the web app. To scan into an external file like Word, follow the step-by-step “Scan to External” tutorial in our support center, or contact us. This feature uses the desktop app, downloaded from inside the web app.
Does Scanmarker work to scan to Microsoft Word or email?
Yes. You can use the Air, Reader, and USB models to scan directly into an external document such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Notepad, email, Google Docs, and anywhere there is an editor. Scan to External is available on the Windows and Mac desktop app.
Is Scanmarker software free?
Yes. You can use Scanmarker software for free with the purchase of the Air, USB, and Reader models.
Do I need an activation code?
No, none of the Scanmarker devices need an activation code.
Where is the instruction manual?
All instruction manuals are kept up to date on our support center. Contact us for any specific question.
What is the difference between the Air/Reader/USB and the MAX/Pro/Pal models?
The Air, Reader, and USB devices need a constant connection to a computer or mobile phone (via Bluetooth or USB cable) to scan and listen to text.
