Supplemental Special Education (SSES) Program -Scanmarker

The SSES program (Program) is intended to give parents choices to supplement their child’s educational needs and is not intended to provide review and oversight of the services and goods purchased with SSES funds.

The SSES gives $1,500 to families of students with disabilities like autism and dyslexia who receive special education. Families can use this money to purchase educational goods and services for their student through Special Education.

Who Qualifies?

To be eligible for the SSES grant, students must currently be:

» enrolled in a Texas public school,

» enrolled in PreK - 12th grade, and » a student with a disability served through Special Education.

The goal of the SSES program is to ensure that students with disabilities receive an inclusive education that meets their unique needs while promoting their academic and social development. The program operates within the framework of special education laws and regulations, such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) in the United States.
